The Korean delegation regrets that they are unable to attend.

PRO - amateur simultaneous games

The delegation of professional Go players from China are eager to meet Canadian Go players and play Go with them. A professional's life is very busy and it is a great honour to receive a teaching game from them. There is no separate charge for these games. Players who have been eliminated from the main event will be able to sign up for a teaching game. A professional is able to play at least 10 amateurs simultaneously.

Format: When the professional comes to your table you must play your answer to his previous move without hesitation. He will answer quickly and move to the next table. You must decide your answer before he returns. Handicap will be set by assuming an amateur rank of 7 dan for the professional.

Eligibility: none

Cost: none

Time Limits: see format

Prizes: none. However, the games will be processed by the CGA rating system.

Professional game commentaries

The delegation of professional Go players from China will review several for the benefit of teaching amateurs. Try to attend these important presentations. They will be scheduledwhen convenient during day time or evening. Players of all strengths are eligible to submit their game records (providing they are neat and legible) for analysis.
