Canadian Open - B,C,D,E,F,G,H divisions

B Division - 3, 4, 5 dan
C Division - 1, 2 dan
D Division - 1 kyu - 3 kyu
E Division - 4 kyu - 6 kyu
F Division - 7 kyu - 10 kyu
G Division - 11 kyu - 15 kyu
H Division - 16 kyu - beginner

Format: These competitions are double elimination. You must lose twice to be out of the event. Each entry is guaranteed 2 games. If you are eliminated early, no problem, enter the lightning, self pairing event, or play simultaneous games with the pros. Divisions B through H may be adjusted depending on registration. Draw for white.

Schedule: Round 1 is Friday, Sept 1 @ 9:30 am. Additional rounds can be played as soon as your opponent is ready. All pairing is pre determined by the posted draw. Players will play three rounds per day.

Time Limits: 1.0 hour/player + byo yomi. Komi is 6.5 points.

Byo Yomi: 25 stones/ 10 minutes

Handicaps: Handicaps will only be assigned in lower divisions to compensate for large rank differences. A handicap chart will be posted if necessary.

Prizes: 2 prizes for each division with 6 or more players.
